Lørdag 26 April 2014 - Procession & Flagg Unfurling Ceremony
Tusenvis av mennesker er forventet å stille i gatene i Stratford-upon-Avon sentrum for å se Shakespeares 450th Bursdagsfeiringer Procession som vil forlate Great Garden of New Place i Chapel Lane på 10:30er på Lørdag 26 April.
The Band of the West Midlands brannvesen vil lede prosesjonen på sin rute ned Chapel Lane, forbi Royal Shakespeare Theatre, langs Water, og inn i Bridge Street. Once everyone is in position, the ceremony of Handing Over The Quill will take place, flagg vil bli foldet ut, bugles vil spille, balloons will be released and the Band of the West Midlands Fire Service will lead everyone in singing Happy Birthday to the Bard.
De mange barn som deltar vil følge Band of the Air Training Corps som de er ført til Holy Trinity Church av Vicar, Patrick Taylor, gjøre veien via High Street, Chapel Street, Church Street og Old Town. They will await the arrival of the main Procession which will end at Shakespeare’s grave by the altar of Holy Trinity Church where the Vicar and his assistants will receive the many flowers brought by people in the procession to commemorate and add colour to this auspicious and memorable celebration.
Pilegrimsreisen til Holy Trinity and the laying of flowers takes place whilst the Community Pageant gets in to full swing. The Pageant precedes the street entertainment and teater workshops som finner sted gjennom hele ettermiddagen.
